RUOK? Day is a National Day of action across Australia which aims to foster a sense of community and care. It’s a day that reminds us to stop what we’re doing and take a moment to check-in with those around us - our family, friends and colleagues - to ask RUOK?
Today we encourage you to be aware of others, ask how people are doing and be willing to have some difficult conversations.
Here are 4 simple steps you can take:
- Ask
- Listen
- Encourage action
- Check in
Whether you’re the one asking the question, or on the receiving end of it, it’s important to use your voice - it’s both a luxury and our given right. The power of one conversation should not be underestimated, it may just change a life.
